The Third Man (1954r)

This is an original US one sheet poster for the celebrated British film noir, The Third Man. Directed by Carol Reed and written by Graham Greene, the film's promotional artwork brilliantly reflects its tense, shadow-drenched atmosphere using a stark black border and a bold, fractured character montage. The layout emphasizes the star billing of Joseph Cotten, Alida Valli, Orson Welles, and Trevor Howard, showcasing their expressive faces alongside dark, looming silhouettes that mirror the uneasy tension and moral ambiguity of post-World War Il Vienna.
