Star Wars (1977)

This rare British Quad poster, created by the Hildebrandt brothers, was released during the film's initial launch in the UK. However, after the film's release, it was decided that the character representations needed to more accurately reflect the actors' likenesses. As a result, this version of the poster was discontinued in favor of Tom Chantrell’s artwork.

The background blends starfields, X‑wing fighters, and the Death Star, creating a sweeping sense of galactic scale. The overall style is dramatic and painterly, typical of late‑70s fantasy illustration, and it’s framed by the film’s iconic credits and the tagline “May the force be with you.”
