Jaws (1975)

£1,250.00

An original Japanese B2 poster from 1975, the year Jaws was released in Japan, issued by Universal Pictures as a public service poster.

Before Jaws opened, the producers knew the film would have an immediate and powerful effect on audiences, and that people would be thinking twice about going in the water. This Shark Facts poster was their answer. Alongside the iconic Jaws logo, fittingly in red for danger and blood, and the famous image of the shark rising beneath the lone swimmer, it sets out 14 facts about sharks, ending with the chilling conclusion that “for of all large animals found in the sea, man is the easiest prey.”

We have never seen this poster in the Japanese B2 size before, and we haven’t been able to find another example anywhere. That makes it extremely rare, and a standout piece for any serious Jaws collector.
