An original one sheet movie poster from 1972 for Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi psychodrama "A Clockwork Orange", based on the novel by Anthony Burgess and nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award.
Here in the UK, A Clockwork Orange carries a fair amount on infamy. After being indirectly linked to a number of violent copycat crimes, the film was withdrawn in 1973 at the request of Stanley Kubrick. It would not be available in the UK until after Kubrick's death.
This iconic poster, designed by British illustrator Philip Castle (who also designed and illustrated the poster for Full Metal Jacket) has been linen-backed.
